Nearly every disposable paper cup in Britain has a layer of plastic inside it. Ours doesn't, and as far as we can tell we're the only ones in the country making them that way.
Pick up whatever you drank your coffee out of this morning. Have a look inside it. It feels like paper. It isn't, quite. There's a film of polyethylene bonded to the inside wall, because paper on its own gives up roughly four seconds after you pour hot coffee into it.
The plastic is doing the real job.
It's also why the cup can't go in with the newspapers. So most cups never get recycled at all.
We innovated and took the plastic out
Ours are lined with a water based coating instead. Keeps the drink where the drink should be. No polyethylene.

The bit nobody puts in the brochure
Coating behaves like a diva. Too thin and the cup weeps. Too heavy and it won't form properly on the cup. Dry it wrong and you get a pallet of cups welded into one very expensive tube.
We got there, through experimentation and innovation, we can manufacture cups that are fully recyclable, and can hold hot or cold water just like the other paper (plastic) ones.
Ordering them
They run through the same seven colour press as our cartons, with a coater, so the artwork lands the way you drew it rather than the way the machine fancied printing it that morning.
No minimum order. No maximum either. Two weeks from artwork to delivery is normal, and it arrives on our own lorries.
